Gigi Rigamonti makes use of an informal language in his works to express the great attention paid to the social and political situation of the age we live in.
Such a view on our contemporary reality is not withdrawn into pessimism but rather opens up to a way of possible redemption. Rigamonti's paintings express joy and poetry in contrast with the almost "catastrophic" situation permeating today's society. Poetry and joy reveal the possibility to imagine a bright future, at least for those individuals who are brave enough to expose themselves.
From a pictorial point of view this is proven by the clear shapes and vivid colours which characterize the painting, and which stand out thanks to a skilful use of gray colour.
